While there have been minimal changes in the top rankings, Amancio Ortega, the founder of Zara, has entered the top 10 for the first time, surpassing former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer.
Here's a breakdown of the top 10 richest people in the world as of August 27, 2024:
1. Elon Musk
Elon Musk maintains his position as the world's wealthiest individual with a net worth of US$243.2 billion. As the CEO of Tesla, SpaceX, and X (formerly Twitter), Musk's wealth is driven by his investments in these companies.
2. Jeff Bezos

3. Bernard Arnault & Family

4. Mark Zuckerberg
